Positive developments are finally beginning to take place in the fashion and textile industry on a worldwide scale. Evidence of significant progress can be seen across the globe, from America and Europe to Africa and Southeast Asia. Of course there is still much to be asked, but thanks to a growing number of brave, creative, insightful, competent and concerned people, important steps are now taken to turn our present largely unsustainable fashion and textile industry into a more circular and sustainable one.
As part of this process, brands and retail companies are beginning to rethink their overall business and redesign their visions, strategies, supply chains, and practical procedures. New design practices are adopted, better fibers and materials are sought and tested, harmful chemicals are banned, new suppliers are connected, new production units are set up, new B2B partnerships and cross-sectoral collaborations are initiated, and additional customer services are introduced. All these measures are essential steps in working towards a more sustainable and circular fashion, outdoor and sportswear industry.
With these pages about circular fashion, Green Strategy aims to present the essentials on circularity and fashion for any individual, company or organization working in the field. It is our hope that this will be a place to go when trying to understand and make decisions related to sustainability and circularity wthin the global fashion and textile industry.
